I wanted to provide a session for parents that wanted to celebrate their child’s first birthday but did not want to do a cake smash session. This type of session is currently a huge hit internationally. I love the idea of a paint session as the canvas that the parents receive afterwards will always be a wonderful keepsake of their child’s first birthday (and first artwork). I found that Jonah (the little boy in the photos) immediately knew what to do with the paint where as with cake smashes, a lot of the kids refuse to have anything to do with the cake or need a lot of encouragement to even touch the cake and icing.<\/p>\n

Parents however, be warned, dress your child in something that can be messed on and that they probably wont be able to wear again as it does get messy!<\/p>\n
